6th Electric + Micro Mobility Forum

Tourism Strategy takes part in the Electric + Micro Mobility Forum on 1 October 2026 at Divani Caravel in Athens. In a fireside chat coordinated by Tasos Flambouras, we plan to explore how electric mobility, micromobility and transport planning can improve the visitor experience and support the local economy.

The Trikala experience

In 2021, electric buses transported passengers to and from the Mill of Elves Christmas attraction. This offers a concrete example of connecting an event that attracts visitors with local transport provision.

Trikala’s participation in ELABORATOR offers a more recent starting point. Through e-Trikala, the city is involved in work on safe, accessible and sustainable urban mobility, including citizen engagement and pilot interventions. We plan to select one or two examples with our guest during preparation.

The discussion will look at the decisions behind each initiative, from the transport need it addresses to the partners, resources and measures of success it requires. Our aim is to give the audience ideas they can assess against the scale, visitor patterns and services of their own destination.
