Begin with the lesson. What should a participant be able to do? Which decision does the exercise develop? How is feedback provided? A digital environment has educational value when it supports a defined objective and makes learning assessable.
Review the content, equipment requirements, instructor support and accessibility for different participants. A small trial with clear assessment criteria can help determine where VR belongs in the curriculum. Its effectiveness remains something to establish through evaluation.
Choose a training tool by the skill it should help people develop. A clear scenario, enough practice time and meaningful assessment matter more than the equipment alone. Virtual reality offers an approach worth examining against a specific lesson and the needs of the people learning it.
